Focusing solely on completing projects without also obtaining relevant certifications may not be the most effective strategy for career advancement. While projects completed can serve as indicators of one's skillset, certifications offer concrete evidence of proficiency in a particular area. It is important to strike a balance between both, as having a solid portfolio of completed projects in conjunction with relevant certifications can make one a more attractive candidate for contracts or positions. In addition, obtaining certifications can also provide opportunities for professional development and networking within a particular industry or field.
During my tenure as a permanent employee at Microsoft, I had the opportunity to take several Microsoft Azure certifications to keep my skills up-to-date. As technology continues to evolve rapidly, I recognize the importance of adapting to these changes by regularly updating my skills. I firmly believe that continuous learning is essential to stay relevant in today's fast-paced work environment, and I am committed to pursuing new certifications and training opportunities whenever necessary to ensure that I provide the highest level of expertise to my clients or employer.
